Prior to founding InHouse Physicians, Dr. Spero graduated medical school from the University of California, Davis in 1988. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine in 1991 at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA. After three years in private practice, Dr. Spero completed the necessary training to practice emergency medicine and has been an emergency medicine specialist since 1995, working in several ER’s across the country.

Dr. Spero is a notable, popular and engaging speaker across the corporate hospitality, employee health and wellness industries. He is regarded as one of the few experts in the meeting planning industry on medical liability. In addition, he is the only board-certified internist/emergency physician on the long time member­ship roles of Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Dr. Spero continues to deliver an educational series Wellness and PerformanceTM to audiences around the U.S. In this series, Dr. Spero discusses an ever evolving definition of wellness and its relationship to personal and professional performance.
